DONA Approved Basic Birth Doula Workshops

Please don't delay registering as our workshops have been filling up a month before. However we usually have some last minute cancellations too.
If you would like to take one of our workshops, please fill out a registration form and pay your deposit. If it is less than three weeks before the workshop, the entire tuition fee is due.

May Workshop at Southwest Wisconsin Technical College
Southwest Wisconsin Technical College is sponsoring a doula training workshop for people interested in
the health care professions. They offer a two year associate degree midwifery program. While enrollment
in this workshop is open to anyone, it may also have additional prerequisites (a writing exam or five week
short course) due to the grant funding the program. When we know more, it will be posted here!
Date: May 22, 23, 24 (Tuesday - Thursday; three day format 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)
Monday, May 21 is an optional childbirth class that meets the DONA certification requirement.

Because of the surcharges passed on to us, we do not offer a partial payment option. You will need to open a PayPal account, which is quite simple. (Amy has had a PayPal account for five years with no problems.)
There is a $5.00 surcharge to your registration fee for charging your registration. If you should cancel, our same financial policy applies (see Course Fees & Policies). We retain the right to refund you via check rather than through PayPal and your credit card if you should cancel. The surcharge is not refundable.

January Workshop for Nursing Students and Medical Students
Date: January 11 - 13, 2013 (Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.,
Saturday & Sunday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.)
Instructor: Amy Gilliland, Ph.D. CD(DONA) with guest speakers
Location: Madison UW Madison Health Sciences Learning Center
Nursing and Medical students from all schools and colleges are welcome to attend. For details, please visit our nursing students page. Prerequisites are the same as other workshops.
Meals and snacks are not provided with this workshop. Tuition is $375.00 with a $25.00 discount if registration takes place before January 2. Note, this is a higher cost than usual because we expect a smaller group. Please click on the "Course Fee" Pay Pal if you wish to use a credit card to pay the discounted registration fee. We also do specialty workshops for other groups that are designed to meet your particular needs: volunteers, a particular religous faith, relinquishing mothers, hospital based doula care. Please contact us for more information.
